You said you loved me,
You said what we had was destiny.
You said I meant more than life it's self,
But you pushed me away and found someone else.
You say it hurts you like a dagger in your chest,
But it looks more like an ice cube where your heart used to rest.

I'm cold an lonely dying inside,
Laying awake every night thinking about all the tearse that I've cried,

While you sleep peacefully,
I lay awake in misery.
And all I can think of is, "was my love for you not enough,
Did I hold you soo too tight you had to let me go"

Here I am heart set aflame bones turned to dust,
Waiting for the day these ashes take flight when the winds of change start to flow.

It's easy to let someone go when the feelings aren't there,
But when you do it's hard to pretend you don't care.

So answer this, how do you love someone with all your heart and still let them go,
How can you hold the hurt inside when when their love still shows,
How can you sleep at night knowing that for you that person still cries,
How can you fill their head with mountains or lies
